I know I haven’t posted in a while, but I finally have a new poem for you.
It was inspired by the garden I have been growing, specifically the herbs started from seed. They’re little sprouts now, and their bright, full of life, green, would cheer anyone up.
So here it is.
I hope you like it. I hope it cheers you up.
Bright green sprouts struggle towards the light,
fighting to glimpse the sky,
to grow into what they were always meant to be,
to live and grow old,
to watch their offspring struggle towards the light as they did,
then, finally, to droop and dry up,
leaves breaking apart and gliding on the wind,
flying toward the sun.
Thanks for reading this, I hope you liked it!
Now a quote from one of my previous poems,
“I hear the sun gaily dancing, I hear summer prancing.” -Kylli Berg
