It’s December, that means Christmas is coming!

The Christmas tree we put up looks so beautiful, I can see it from here. I was inspired by the tree, the Christmas spirit, and most importantly, love.

Gift

the lights reflected off

the sparkling ornaments

hung upon the evergreen bough

arranged on the ground

haphazardly

were gifts

wrapped clumsily

with simple notes scrawled on them

in a child’s hand

they weren’t much to look at

until

you looked

closer

and saw

the love

that had made them
