Balloons

Hi,

Today I’ll be showing you a poem I just wrote, inspired by, well, balloons.

So, without further adieu…..

Balloons

An egg shaped sphere,

floats,

into the sky,

the wails of a child who has lost her balloon echo far below.

A pinprick of white, or red, or green,

purple, or yellow, blue or pink….

A hopeful hand,

clutching a string,

thinking never to let go,

yet will let go all the same.

Thanks for reading this, I hope you liked it!

Now for a quote from one of my earlier poems,

Shadows

“Shadows do not know they are shadows,
for if they knew the truth, the lie would feel their wrath.” -Kylli Berg
